Terms of Service — Portrait Path

Overview

This website is operated by TruLuxeLife LLC, doing business as Portrait Path. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Portrait Path.

By visiting our site, submitting content, and/or purchasing from us, you engage in our service and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Our Service

Portrait Path creates custom pet portrait artwork from customer-submitted photos.

Our current portrait service supports:

  • dogs
  • cats
  • one to three pets in a single portrait
  • any combination of dogs and cats within the three-pet limit

Each portrait is created using advanced tools and curated by our team to produce a painterly, stylized work that remains recognizable and true to the pet or pets represented.

Each portrait is:

  • based on the photo or photos you provide
  • created as a custom, made-to-order product
  • subject to artistic interpretation
  • limited to the number and type of pets included in the product option purchased

We aim to preserve each pet’s recognizable features, markings, expression, character, and presence. Exact photographic replication is not guaranteed.

Unless a product listing expressly states otherwise, humans and animal species other than dogs and cats are not supported portrait subjects.

2. Order Process

Our process allows you to review your portrait before it is printed.

The general process is:

Photo Upload → Portrait Creation → Preview → Revisions → Customer Approval → Production → Shipping

After placing your order:

  • you will receive a digital preview of your portrait
  • you may request reasonable revisions before approval
  • your order will not move into production until you approve the preview

You are responsible for providing usable photos of every pet included in the order.

If we need better photos, clarification about which pets should appear, or payment for a different pet-count option, we may pause the order until the necessary information or payment is received.

3. Revisions and Before-Printing Satisfaction Guarantee

Reasonable revisions are included before approval.

If something does not feel right when you receive your preview, you may request adjustments before approving your portrait. We will work with you to make the portrait feel painterly, recognizable, and true to each pet included in the order.

If, after reasonable revision efforts, we cannot get the portrait to a place you are comfortable approving before printing, you may request cancellation and a refund.

Revision requests must remain reasonably within the scope of:

  • the pet or pets included in the original order
  • the submitted photos
  • the selected portrait style
  • the purchased pet count
  • the original portrait concept

We may decline or limit requests that require:

  • adding or replacing a pet
  • changing to a substantially different style or concept
  • rebuilding the portrait from entirely new source material
  • work outside the product option purchased

A request for a substantially different portrait may require a new order or an additional charge.

4. Customer Approval and Finalization

When you approve your portrait, you confirm your acceptance of:

  • the pet or pets included
  • each pet’s recognizable appearance
  • the pets’ relative size, position, and relationship within the portrait
  • the composition and crop
  • the selected style
  • the colors and background
  • the overall artistic interpretation shown in the preview

Once you approve your portrait:

  • the artwork is considered final and accepted
  • the order moves into production
  • the portrait is printed in the selected format and prepared for shipment

After approval, no further artwork changes can be made.

5. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before artwork approval, subject to the revision and refund process described in these Terms and our Refund Policy.

Once a portrait has been approved and moved into production:

  • the order is final
  • cancellation is no longer available
  • refunds are not available except in cases of damage, defect, incorrect production, or another issue covered by our Refund Policy

6. Custom Products and Customer Expectations

All Portrait Path products are custom-made from customer-submitted photos.

Because of this:

  • results depend partly on the quality of the photos provided
  • we may request one or more replacement photos
  • every included pet should be clearly visible in at least one submitted photo
  • separate photos may be used for different pets
  • if you choose to proceed with a lower-quality image, the finished portrait may reflect its limitations
  • the final portrait is a stylized artistic interpretation, not an exact photographic reproduction

For a multi-pet portrait, limitations in the photo of one pet may affect how clearly that pet can be represented.

Finished custom portraits are not refundable for preference-based concerns after approval, including:

  • artistic interpretation consistent with the approved preview
  • pet placement or relative size consistent with the approved preview
  • normal screen-to-print differences
  • limitations caused by customer-provided photos
  • a change of mind after approval

7. Product Format

Portrait Path products are physical custom canvas portraits.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, digital files are not included.

Portraits are printed and finished according to the product options selected at checkout.

Current product formats may include:

Stretched Canvas — A ready-to-hang canvas portrait with a clean canvas presentation.

Classic Walnut Frame — A canvas portrait affixed to foam board for a clean, stable surface and finished in a walnut-colored real wood frame with an acrylic front.

Product materials, frame options, finishes, sizes, prices, and presentation details may change over time. We aim to describe the options currently available accurately on each product page.

8. Screen and Print Variation

Colors, contrast, brightness, crop, and fine detail may appear slightly different between a digital screen and the finished printed portrait.

These small differences are normal in printed artwork and are not considered defects.

9. Pet Count and Supported Compositions

Each portrait may contain one, two, or three total pets.

Supported pets are:

  • dogs
  • cats
  • any combination of dogs and cats within the three-pet limit

The number of pets included in your portrait must match the pet-count option purchased.

If the uploaded photos include more pets than the order covers, we may ask you to:

  • identify which pets should be included
  • update the order to the appropriate pet-count option
  • submit different photos
  • cancel the order if the requested composition is outside our supported scope

Uploading multiple photos does not by itself purchase a multi-pet portrait. Multiple photos may be used as reference images for one pet.

When pets are submitted in separate photos, we may artistically arrange them into one unified portrait. Their final placement, scale, overlap, crop, and relationship will be shown in the preview for your approval.

Portraits containing more than three pets require separate arrangements and are not supported unless expressly agreed to by Portrait Path.

10. Timing, Shipping, and Delivery

We currently ship within the United States.

Typical estimates may include:

  • an initial preview within approximately 1–2 business days after receiving the order, usable photos, and required information
  • printing, finishing, and delivery after customer approval
  • many orders arriving approximately 5–7 business days after approval

These are estimates, not guarantees.

Multi-pet portraits, revision requests, production volume, holidays, weather, carrier delays, and other circumstances may increase the timeline.

If we cannot ship within a timeframe we expressly promised, we will provide notice and, when required, give you the option to accept the delay or cancel the unshipped order for a refund.

Portrait Path is not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate shipping information supplied by the customer.

11. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, misprinted, or inconsistent with the approved production order, contact us at support@portraitpath.com within 14 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • your order number
  • clear photos showing the issue
  • photos of the packaging when available, particularly for shipping damage

If the issue qualifies, we will provide an appropriate resolution, which may include:

  • replacement
  • reprint
  • refund
  • another reasonable solution based on the circumstances

12. Intellectual Property and Personal Use

You retain any rights you hold in the original photos you submit.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TruLuxeLife LLC retains its rights in:

  • Portrait Path branding
  • original written content
  • protectable artwork elements
  • human-authored selection, arrangement, editing, and creative contributions
  • production methods and workflows
  • website designs and materials

Copyright protection for any particular artwork may depend on the nature and extent of protectable human authorship involved.

Purchasing a portrait gives you ownership of the physical product and permission to use and display it for personal, noncommercial purposes.

You may photograph and share your purchased portrait for personal, noncommercial use.

Without prior written permission, you may not:

  • commercially reproduce the artwork
  • sell copies or merchandise containing the artwork
  • license the artwork to another business
  • distribute a digital artwork file
  • use Portrait Path branding as your own

Unless expressly included in the purchased product, no editable or full-resolution digital production file is provided.

By submitting photos or other content to Portrait Path, you confirm that:

  • the content does not infringe another person’s rights

  • create and revise your portrait
  • communicate with you about the order
  • produce and fulfill the order
  • provide customer support
  • maintain reasonable business and order records

Submission of a photo does not automatically give Portrait Path permission to use it publicly for advertising.

We may separately ask for permission to use submitted photos or completed portraits for:

  • our website
  • social media
  • advertising
  • portfolio examples
  • promotional materials

You may decline such a request without affecting your order.

Use and handling of personal information are also governed by our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to use our website or services for unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, misleading, or infringing purposes.

We may refuse, suspend, or cancel orders involving:

  • unlawful or infringing content
  • abusive or threatening conduct
  • fraudulent transactions
  • unsupported subjects
  • content we cannot reasonably or appropriately fulfill

If we cancel an unfulfilled order for one of these reasons, any refund will be handled according to the circumstances and applicable law.

15. Limitation of Liability

We do not guarantee that the website or service will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TruLuxeLife LLC will not be liable for:

  • lost profits or data
  • delays or failures outside our reasonable control
  • problems caused by inaccurate, incomplete, infringing, or low-quality customer-submitted materials
  • dissatisfaction based solely on artistic choices accepted through the preview and approval process

Nothing in these Terms limits a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.

We strive to ensure that product information, pricing, timing, and availability are accurate.

We reserve the right to:

  • correct errors
  • update website content
